The Wraith is the primary heavy unit of all covenant forces and its heavy mortar gun can reduce even hardened defensive encampments to rubble. The appearance of the Wraith is also slightly different, featuring rudimentary headlights. Also it is now a 2-user vehicle with the driver being in side the cockpit, while the gunner is exposed and has a 270 degree view around him. The turret is used for close-combat. Also the mortar blasts from the wraith travel slightly faster now, and the turret fires blasts like the plasma rifle instead of a beam the Spectre fires. A new single propulsion jet similar to the one the spectre uses has been added on the back, plus the regular ones, so its speed boost has increased.

Offensive Tactics
The Wraith is a great assault vehicle mostly because it has such good armor. Projectile bullets like the sniper rifle, SMG, and battle rifle don't even phase the Wraith as the bullets deflect off the Wraith's curved hull. The only projectile weapon that's effective against the Wraith is the rocket launcher and even then it takes two hits to knock one out. One of the wraiths primary strengths as a attacker is that it does not have to be near the action to be taking part in it. Unlike its counterpart, the human tank, the Wraith fires up into the air which allows its mortar rounds to avoid all physical obstacles. With precision and practice it is possible to assault the opposing base in Valhalla while still maintaining position at your own base. The wide range of the Wraiths mortar turret allows you to hit targets as far away as the other side of the map but also it allows you to kill vehicles that are circling around you. In vehicle killing the Wraith truly is a double edged sword as its mortar rounds, even without a direct impact can kill or flip over any vehicle (except other tanks). Then any vehicle naive enough to come to close to the Wraith can be speed boosted into which with precision from the driver of the Wraith can be a guaranteed kill. Now however, the Wraith is no longer just a anti-vehicle weapon it has been given anti-personal capabilities with its new secondary plasma cannon. The plasma cannon while relatively week even compare to the Spectre turret is great at warding off enemies that try and sneak on board to hijack the Wraith. The one glaring disadvantage to being in the gunner seat is that your head is completely exposed to sniper fire which is usually the death of the Wraith gunner because the Wraith's slow speed means its usually a easy shot.

Defensive Tactics
The large size of the Wraith can can prove a great asset in itself. The Wraith can be used to block external doors to protect a base which forces the enemy to move it before gaining access to the base. This diversion allows the team inside to prepare for enemy attack and ruins any hope of a surprise by the enemy. When this tactic is applied to your own base it can be useful but when applied to the enemy base it can be integral to slowing down the enemy giving your team a chance to escape with the flag or other objective. The Wraith's armor is 3 times more powerful at the front of the vehicle than at the sides so it is always beneficial to be facing whatever you are attacking or that is attacking you. Also this gives the gunner a better chance of counter attacking. One of the Wraith's main overlooked defensive capabilities is that the front armor reflects light plasma and projectile fire and then redirects it away from the vehicle this fire in itself can damage anyone even on the rebound.
