The ghost is one of the most fundamental attack and single transport vehicles of Halo 3. Although it isn't the best for attack, defense, or maneuverability it is the middle man in all of these categories and therefore is the most balance vehicle in the game.

Attacking
When attacking with the ghost its best the use the hit and run technique because you can quickly become overwhelmed if your target is jumping and strafing and all the while targeting you. Since the ghost can't maneuver like a on foot spartan/elite the enemy your attacking can often jump over you or to the side. To avoid this its best to keep a distance of at least a 10 yards and to half the recticle in front of the enemy to compensate for strafing. Also if your enemy gets stuck up against a wall or pauses for a minute be sure to take the opportunity to ram them. Ramping can cut the time the conflict takes and can get you to another enemy and come up on them unexpectly. More often than not though a ramp will miss so be sure your ready to turn around instantly. If a ramp fails boost past the enemy so they don't get a chance to jump on also as your boosting past begin to turn slightly so when you release the boost you can swing round and start firing again as fast as possible.
